FOUNDING OF UNIVER
The UNIVER history starts thanks to the brilliant mind of its founder Luciano Migliori who had the pioneering attitude to create innovative and avant-garde products being ahead of his time.
Our first logo well represents the meaning of the company’s name UNIVER. Air, the driving force of UNIVER products, is a UNIVERsal endless energy source which embraces the whole UNIVERse.
FIRST PATENTED VALVES
UNIVER business starts with the production of poppet valves for air and vacuum. The original UNIVER valve commutation system was patented in 1973, thus attesting its innovative attitude and its numerous R&D activities. Today UNIVER holds more than 150 patented solutions.
NEW CORPORATE LOGO
UNIVER presents the new logo, which has remained unchanged over the years. The main principles underlined in the previous one are kept safe. The lateral shaded stripes symbolize the air movement. The font recalls the two-line frame of the previous logo.
UNIVER BECOMES A CORPORATE
The growing business brings UNIVER to migrate from a limited company to a Corporate, ready to welcome daughter companies and become a holding. In the same years UNIVER moved to larger premises in Milan, where the Headquarters, production and logistics are still operating.
FIRST CYLINDER PROFILED TUBE
The cylinder production dates back to 1986, when UNIVER launched on the market the first series of ISO 6431 cylinders produced with profiled aluminium tube: not only the round version but also the patented octagonal non-rotating one.
TOWARDS UNIVER GROUP
At the end of the ‘80s the UNIVER Group starts shaping. UNIVER sets up the first daughter companies abroad and sales company in Italy, upgrading the internationalization process undertaken since the beginning, which laid the basis of the current worldwide sales network.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
UNIVER achieved the ISO 9000 certification goal as early as 1991 – one of the first companies in the field of industrial automation. Following rigorous management processes and determining clear objectives aimed at achieving the highest quality standards allow UNIVER to continuously improve.
AUTOMOTIVE DIVISION
After 30 years of experience in Pneumatic Automation, UNIVER opens the Automotive Division to design and produce clamping technology for welding fixture production, metal sheet handling and BIW applications. The complete range of pneumatic and electric clamping units as well as the innovative and patented solutions have allowed UNIVER to meet the high standards of the most important car manufacturers.
ELECTRIC AUTOMATION
The innovative attitude arises again in the early 2000’s, when the range of pneumatic components widens with the introduction of electric devices. That was a sort of window to the future in the light of the ongoing electrification process.
FOCUS ON GR8
A new challenge for the UNIVER Group is represented by the GR8 Modular Tooling System, a patented avant-garde solution among the EOAT (End of Arm Tooling) systems worldwide. Project Management and Assembly Center of GR8 innovative modular system are at UNIVER GmbH in Germany.
MANUFACTURING SYSTEM INTEGRATION
UNIVER completely integrates its production process by setting up the Machining Division equipped with the latest technology CNC machines, which has been placed side by side to the existing assembly plants abroad and the local production in Italy.
